Artists Application

Application process is now closed.  Thank you for all that applied.  We will be jurying submissions and notifying applicants in mid-August.

**Please note that our board is made up of volunteers and may result in a 24–48 hour response time.

Market Dates:  December 24, 2022
Location:  Nashville, Brown County, Indiana
Mediums Accepted:  Christmas themed items and fine crafts, such as but not limited to:  Candles, fiber, glass, graphics, jewelry, mixed media, ornaments, painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, soaps, wood, wreaths, etc.
Eligibility:  Approximately 30 exhibitors will be selected on the basis of originality, need, artistic conception, and quality workmanship.
Entry Deadline:  All applications must be received by August 1, 2022.  No exceptions.
Booth Info:  Artists be provided with one table and two chairs, as well as limited access to electricity (unless otherwise specified).  Due to local requirements and possibility of impending weather, all booths will be provided by the Market.
Insurance:  Insurance is recommended.
Sales Tax:  All participants are responsible for collecting and paying Indiana Sales Tax.
Event:  This is a juried event.  Booth location and loading instructions will be provided with acceptance letter.
Important Dates:

  • 6/1/22 Applications Open
  • 7/1/22 Early-Bird applications due (no exceptions)
  • 8/1/22 On-time applications due (no exceptions)
  • 9/1/22 Vendor notifications mailed
  • 10/1/22 Show (booth) fees due.  Failure to pay by 10/1/22 will forfeit your acceptance.
  • 11/3012/2 Artist set-up with scheduled time slots. 
  • Market Day 1:  Friday, 12/2/22, 128 p.m.
  • Market Day 2:  Saturday, 12/3/22, 10 a.m.6 p.m.
  • Market Day 3:  Sunday, 12/4/22, 10 a.m.4 p.m.
  • 12/4/22 After 4pm:  Artist booth broken down and removal from the market.

Note:

  • Each application includes jurying of one artist in one art medium.
  • Artists wishing to enter more than one medium must submit photographs of all mediums for consideration.  Each medium submitted will be juried separately. Please note, not all submitted mediums may be accepted. 
  • The Brown County Christkindl Market will provide a festive, decorated booth, amenities (food and beverages, a breakroom, and restrooms), and a list of other events taking place the weekend of the Christkindl Market. Overnight security will be provided.
  • This is an outdoor event. Come prepared for the weather.
  • No individual space heaters will be allowed due to fire code.
  • If accepted, artist agrees to be open during the entire 3-day Market.

Non-Refundable Application Fees:

  • Early-bird application $15:  6/17/1/22
  • On-time application $25:  7/18/1/22
  • NO LATE APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED
  • Application fees are non-refundable

Booth Fee:

If accepted, booth fee: $275 payable upon acceptance.  Booth fees are non-refundable after confirmation of acceptance.
